In the Foundations of Yoga 3-week series we will go over frequently practiced yoga postures, some common breathing techniques, and mindfulness practices. The goal is to create an environment that allows students to learn and feel safe trying yoga for the first time. These will be workshop style classes. We will spend some time going over poses for the first half of class. For the second half we will flow through a yoga series using the postures we have gone over. Each class will build on the last as we add more poses each session. This series would be perfect for you if you’ve never practiced yoga before or if you’re a beginner and you’d like a little bit more support as you learn.
