Yoga Nidra, sometimes called yogic sleep, is a guided meditation in which you find deep relaxation. This is done by descending through levels of consciousness, eventually at the level of the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind responds to the messages we give it. It is here we plant our intention . In Yoga Nidra your intention is called a sankalpa -a short affirmation, stated in positive words, as if already true. It is the act of stating the message at this level of consciousness that assists manifestation of your goal. You will feel calm,relaxed, and refreshed afterwards.
