Program Outline
Week #1: Cultivate a New Identity
During our first meeting we will look closely at our wellbeing and how our past approaches to self-improvement may have failed us. Understanding the layers of behavior change and the connection between our thoughts and our emotions, we will cultivate a new approach to self-improvement. Effective change is within your reach!
Week #2: The Ayurvedic Approach to Wellbeing
Looking at our wellbeing through the lens of Ayurveda, we find a sense of empowerment. This ancient holistic approach is founded on the principle that our mind have a deep influence on the body and our body itself is incredibly resilient when in balance. Good health is mostly a personal choice. We create the body we live in with our mindset and our daily habits.
Week #3: Body Type: Learn about your natural, internal make-up
This week we will explore our own internal make-up and learn the reasons behind many of our mental/behavioral/physical tendencies. We will also look at what symptoms are indicators of imbalance within. Empowered by this deep knowledge of who we are, we can adjust our lifestyles to bring us back into balance and to support amazing wellbeing and longevity.
Week #4: Sleep & Sleep Rhythm
Sleep is often a topic of conversation these days and rightfully so. Most of us are overtired yet sleep is the number one habit to address when looking to improve our wellbeing. We will look at what is going on (or should be) in the body while we sleep that makes getting enough of it so important and the symptoms associated with being chronically overtired. We will also address how to create an evening routine that fosters better sleep. You CAN feel bright-eyed and ready to take on each day!
Week #5: Nourishment & Digestive Rhythm: Eating habits
So often we search out answers for what and when to eat, yet if we became aware of the subtle messages from our bodies, we could rely on our instincts for the answers instead. By understanding how our digestive system operates we will learn why two-three meals a day will suffice, why the timing of each meal is important and why incorporating the six tastes is essential for our overall wellbeing. We will also discuss the symptoms of balanced/imbalanced digestion and explore ways to promote healthy digestion.
Week #6: Navigate Relationships: Building your support system
In order to successfully make changes in our lifestyles we must surround ourselves with like-minded people. That circle of support may come from family, friends, or colleagues. While we build that circle around us, we also need to acknowledge those in our lives who aren’t in a place to change with us. We will explore how to establish support for one another using clear communication, rooted in empathy and in doing so strengthen our relationships with others.
Week #8: Cultivate a Life of Ease: Give stress a rest!
Let's imagine together what a life of ease looks like and then figure out how we can construct that life for ourselves. The first step is recognizing what the root causes of stress are for each of us. Then we can learn how to manage and change these factors through conscious choices with our mindset and our behaviors. We will discuss what habits can help us establish a balanced and grounded "seat" from which to operate from in our daily lives. Moving from a state of restriction to expansion, we can find greater happiness and fulfillment in a life of ease.
Week #9: The True You: A life of wellbeing
After seven weeks of dedicating time and energy to improving our wellbeing, we will review what we have explored and celebrate the progress made and the potential that lies ahead.
*Upon completing the program, there will be an option to participate in a monthly follow-up meeting to help you stay connected, supported and accountable as you move forward on your journey.
Stay tuned for the next session!
