Why Chair Yoga?
It is accessible for anyone interested in learning to move in a gentle, mindful way.
Jane encourages you to honor and accept your bodies limitations while strengthening and stretching with adapted yoga postures.
Class starts with seated breath work and brief meditation. Then Jane will guide you through seated stretches, core strengthening, and hip mobility. Next we stand for focused balancing postures and mindful balance strategies (with chair support).
We finish seated in the chair for a brief hand yoga routine to promote grip strength and dexterity, then self hand massage with healing essential oils.
Lastly, time to relax, and reflect in a quiet, integrating meditation.
This class is suitable for everyone. No previous experience required.
