Erin recognizes that our being, or soma, is an integrated network of the physical body and our mental and emotional selves. All that we think, feel and do is experienced by our entire soma. If we are not deeply aware of our internal landscape, we are more likely to hold onto experiences that weigh us down. We quite literally get stuck in physical tension in the body and in unease in the mind.
A yoga practice can help us manage life’s stressors and reset. Erin’s yoga classes are a somatic experience that promotes self-awareness and internal connection. In these integrated yoga classes, Erin helps us understand what our bodies are actually doing in the poses we create. What areas are working to support us? What areas are opening and relaxing? What is it like to truly balance effort and ease? Could it actually be true that doing less will benefit us more?
With Erin’s guidance, traditional yoga poses become less of a curious shape with a name, and more of an internal experience with a clear purpose around what we are doing and why. Through this deep self-awareness that Erin cultivates during practice, you will connect with yourself and rediscover the peace and ease that has been hidden under an accumulation of life’s stressors.
